He was heavily involved in the Ardmore community from 2004 - 2009 serving with the Ardmore Young Professionals, March of Dimes, Michelin's Environmental Camp, Youth Leader at Christ Community Church, and leading young adult bible studies. From 2009-2013, he and his family left to become full time volunteers for a church plant in Austin, TX. In 2013, he and his family finished up their volunteer work and came back to Ardmore. Since then, Brawn has been focused on the development and growth of leaders, and has facilitated over 10,000 sessions in the Ardmore area.
